Abilene Education Foundation Will Host 3rd Annual Cajun Fest April 11th in Downtown Abilene
Hungry for some authentic Cajun food? The Abilene Education Foundation (AEF) is hosting the 3rd annual Cajun Fest on Thursday April 11th. This years crawfish and shrimp boil is being prepared by Two Daddy's Crawfish from Bosier City, Louisiana. Two Daddy's is known the world over for their authentic Cajun Cuisine. Don't miss it, get your tickets and get there early.
Cajun Fest gets started at 5pm and goes till 8pm. This is the big fundraiser for AEF and will take place during Artwalk in downtown Abilene at the parking lot on the corner of North 4th and Cypress Street. A Cajun Fest Crawfish dinner plate comes with crawfish and/or shrimp and all the fixings which will include corn on the cob, potatoes, drink and an awesome desert. This year, the deserts are being made by the TSTC Culinary Arts students.

Entertainment will be provided by several area schools bands, choirs and orchestras. The kids plate can be either crawfish/shrimp or a hotdog plate with chips and a drink. The Center for Contemporary Arts will also be open, as will be the Grace Museum, the Library and several art galleries downtown. Art Walk is free and open to the public. Have you picture made the AEF Cajun Fest mascots Gum and Bo for only $5. All the proceeds from Cajun Fest benefit students AEF scholarship Fund.
