Inaugural ‘Best of You Bash’ Set For May 26th in Downtown Abilene

The perfect combination of live music, great drinks, and delicious food shapes the ultimate night in Downtown Abilene, hosted by Townsquare Media and Adam Munoz Productions. There will be a limited number of tickets for this incredible evening that benefits Autism Speaks.

For those not in the know. I started a GoFundMe campaign to purchase Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. This was merely as a joke - as a distraction to all of the hatred and negativity we see daily on social media. I felt it was time we paused for a laugh or two.

Well, people started donating to the account and the next you know, it went viral. I'm talking worldwide.

So I decided the next step was to donate that money to charity thus I chose Autism Speaks as the recipient. I have a family member with autism and one of Dave's favorite charities is Autism Speaks - so that was a natural fit.

Once we chose the charity, the public started donating like crazy - with major contributions from Adam Munoz Productions, Ned Maybee at Fatboy's & Abilene Safety Instruction, Jason Player, and Bad Boy Bail Bonds - and many, many others.

Big or small - every single donation and kind word has been fuel for my fire. Thank you so much.

Fast forward to the 'Best of You Bash'.

Chris Sanchez and Adam Munoz came up with the idea of a pub crawl in Downtown Abilene with 100% of ticket sales going to Autism Speaks. We figured this would be a great way to wrap up such an overwhelming and humbling campaign (to purchase Dave Grohl).

We'll start the evening at the Neon Parrot so everyone that bought a ticket can get their wristband. From there, we'll be making stops at Public Haus, Fat Boss's Pub, and Cypress Street Station.

We've got a ton of musicians lined up to play, including Kirk House Band, Dave Hobbs Band, The Transporters, Brenda Kay, Chrissy Phillips, Moneyshot, Andrew Holmes, Jonathan Hester, Pleasant Villain, Tripp Mathis, and Trent Rush.

Along with the live music inside the bars, we'll be entertained by performers on the street as well. Rockn Rollerz food truck will be joining us, so make sure you get a bite of what Abilene voted as the best burger.

Since Dave Grohl is the inspiration behind all of this, we'll also be featuring Foo Fighters music inside each bar.

Advance tickets will be $10 and will go on sale Monday, May 16th at Townsquare Media studios at 3911 South 1st. If there are any left, then those will be $15 the night of the pub crawl.
