I'm a little happy and a little sad to find out that one of my favorite shows on TV will soon be ending; the bright side is there will be one more season before that happens. HBO's 'The Newsroom' is one of the smartest shows on television, in my opinion. I love the cast, the content, and the thinking you do when watching. The show is one of HBO's top programs, pulling in 2.2 million viewers with it's season 2 debut. If you've never watched the show, it's timely, about events we see in real life everyday, but you get a 'behind the scenes' look at how a media outlet gets the facts, or the lack thereof, to it's audience.

It's incredible written and produced by Aaron Sorkin, who was also the brains behind the hit TV series West Wing back late 90's early 2000's. Jeff Daniels has the lead role of the complex and charismatic, Will McAvoy. Daniels, has an extensive movie history (Dumb and Dumber) but has made himself at home on the smaller screen now. Add in co-stars Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, Olivia Munn and more and you have a dynamic that seldom comes along.

This is one of the best scenes from the show, it's what hooked me and similar scenes that have kept me coming back.

It's scenes like this one that make you think, agree or disagree with what is said, it makes you think and opens up conversation. So I'm excited that there will be one more season but sad to see it end. It's hard to find such smartly scripted shows theses days.
