Peter O'Toole has passed away at the age of 81. The legendary actor won several awards for his work in some of the greatest movies in cinematic history, including 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'Zulu Dawn', 'Beckett' and several others. But I will always remember O'Toole for his supporting role as Governor Anthony Cloyden Hayes in 'Club Paradise'.

One of my personal favorite movies, not only did the 1986 film (starring Robin Williams) receive no Oscar attention, Peter O'Toole actually received a Razzie Award (recognizing the worst in film) for Worst Supporting Actor. But to me, his dry wit and matter-of-fact sense of humor was the perfect complement Williams and the rest of the traditional comedy actors in 'Club Paradise'. Here's one of O'Toole's best scenes in the movie:

If you haven't seen 'Club Paradise', I highly recommend you check it out.

Rest in peace, Mr. O'Toole. To some, you'll be Lawrence of Arabia, or Alan Swan from 'My Favorite Year', or as a brilliant stage actor. To me, you will forever be the guy who helped Jack Minicker save the island of St. Nicholas.
