Restaurants & Businesses Offering Discounts to Veterans on Veteran’s Day and Every Other Day of the Year in Abilene [UPDATED]
Our military veterans have given so much of themselves to protect us that it seems impossible to repay them. Many businesses offer special discounts to active duty and retired military personnel and their families on special holiday’s like Memorial Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day. Special days set aside Nationally to honor our military. However, with Dyess Air Force Base being such a huge part of our community most retailers in Abilene offer discounts to our military year round, which seems much more appropriate. There are a few though that are going a little above what is normal for this Veterans Day, Monday, November 11th. Special discounts, if not free, meals are the most abundant offerings. Most just ask that you show your military ID.
Golden Corral will be offering a free "thank you" meal to veterans from 4-9 pm on Monday, November 11th.
