One of the great holiday memories from the ‘Saturday Night Live’ of the 1990s is the ‘I Wish It Was Christmas Today” song that Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan and Horatio Sanz used to perform. This year, our holiday wished came true and we got to see it again last night when Fallon hosted the show.

School reading lists are typically laden with staid classics that no one really wants to read. But nevermind all that. ‘Late Night’ host Jimmy Fallon presented his “Do Not Read List” for the 2011-2012 school year that sounds a lot more enticing.

On ‘Late Night,’ Julianne Moore and Jimmy Fallon went head-to-head in a musical competition, playing songs on unfamiliar instruments while Chris Kattan tried to name the tune. First, Moore hefted an ungainly trombone and attempted ‘The Star-Spangled Banner,’ producing what sounded suspiciously like the same note over and over. Not surprisingly, Kattan was unable to name the song.
