What was supposed to be a two-day celebration is now just one, but it'll be spectacular - that's for sure.

The 3rd Annual Freedom Festival is taking place July 4th at the Taylor County Expo Center from 4pm-10pm. Originally scheduled as a two-day event, it has now been revised to just one day, because of Covid-19.

There will a kids area, with Cirque Adventure, so bring the whole family. You can expect plenty of food trucks and other vendors as well as live music. Jerrod Medulla kicks things off at 5pm followed by Wade Bowen then Neal McCoy.

The evening will be capped off with the Westex Connect Fireworks Spectacular.

We've all been cooped up and are ready to enjoy some good ol' family fun and I can't think of a better way to do so than at the Freedom Fest and Fireworks Spectacular. This will be one of the best fireworks shows Abilene has ever seen, so don't miss it.

Tickets are $25.00 for adults, $10 for ages 10-15, and 9 and under are free. and $5.00 for children 6-15. There are also discounted tickets for first responders, military, and healthcare workers. Chairs are also welcomed and encouraged.
