Support Local Abilene Restaurants with Menu Hoppers Anniversary Discount
If you haven't chosen a New Year's resolution for 2022 yet, here's a unique idea that will make you more involved in your community: eat out more at local restaurants.
I know that's likely not how you wanted to rework your new budget in 2022 or save for that awesome summer vacation. However, we both know you were planning on ordering margaritas or having a pizza delivered anyway.
Abilene is fortunate enough to have its own locally-owned and locally-focused food delivery service called Menu Hoppers. The concept is similar to Favor or GrubHub, where you pay an additional fee to have food from a restaurant delivered to you through a third-party service.
2022 marks Menu Hoppers' third anniversary, and they're offering a reduced delivery fee of $3 (usually $5.99) to say thank you to the Big Country for supporting local businesses, them included.
While your order through Menu Hoppers won't be completely free, reduced delivery fees means you can enjoy more of the local restaurants you enjoy in lieu of in-person dining and to avoid the fast food drive-thru trap. (Even though Menu Hoppers serves a lot of the chain restaurants, too.)
You can find menus and locations for all Menu Hoppers partner restaurants on their website here. Here's a quick list of some favorite local restaurants served by Menu Hoppers:
- Phoenix Pho
- Belle's Chicken Dinner House
- Al's Mesquite Grill
- The Shed Market
- Joes Pizza Pasta & Subs
- Betty Rose's Little Brisket (both locations)
- Taylor County Taphouse
- Boiliing Tails + Jojo's BBQ (inside Potosi Live
And the best part, you ask?
Menu Hoppers is locally owned, so that deliver outside of where most chain delivery services will travel. Whether you're at Tye, Dyess AFB (yes, the deliver to the base), Hawley, Clyde, Tuscola, Buffalo Gap, or Potosi, Menu Hoppers can get to you.
