The Abilene Animal Shelter needs our help now! Please adopt one of these awesome, lovable pets. With the hottest month of the year here, we should all think about saving one of the adorable and cuddly fur babies.

Look: At These Adorable Critters Of The Week

Justin Lelesch, the shelter's Director says "we're still providing all the bells, whistles, and chimes. What I mean is, every pet you adopt comes with vaccinations, heart-wormed, flea & tick dipped, a spay-neuter voucher and micro-chipped included with each and every adoption."

Staci Schults Shelter Adoption Specialist says "the shelter has a lot of pet owners that adopted during in the last year and a half, are now returning their pets back to the shelter." Meaning many of these pets are already housebroken and know some really pretty cool tricks their previous owners taught them.

The Abilene Animal Shelter is also in dire need of "wet kitten food" as many of these kittens were orphaned and still require the softer wet food. All donations are greatly appreciated and accepted Monday thru Saturday from 9 AM until 6 PM at the shelter.

The Abilene Animal Services Shelter is way over capacity with mostly puppies and kittens. So, the Animal Shelter is in desperate need of responsible pet-loving owners that can become forever homes for these adorable pets that just want someone to love and be loved.

Justin pleads, "if you cannot adopt, you may want to "foster" for a week or more until a room opens up at the shelter. The photos above are the actual kittens and puppies that need a forever home now.

The Abilene Animal Services Shelter is at 925 South 25th. Staci says that the shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 11 AM until 2 PM and 3 PM till 6 PM. For more information call the Abilene Animal Shelter at (325)-698-0085.
