An American Idol just tied the knot!

Country crooner Scotty McCreery is now a married man. The singer and his girlfriend Gabi Dugal announced their "I dos" in the mountains of North Carolina in front of over 200 invited guests, People confirmed Saturday (June 16).

Officiated by the "Five More Minutes" singer's childhood pastor, the 24-year-old newlyweds enjoyed a series of fun activities before exchanging personalized wedding vows on their big day, including a mountainside rehearsal dinner and Cajun-style shrimp boil.

“We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays,” McCreery told People ahead of the ceremony, which kept a classic black, white and gold color scheme. “I support her dreams and she supports mine.”

Dugal and the Garner native — who won the tenth season of American Idol in 2011 — have known each other since kindergarten. McCreery proposed to his true love, a Duke University Hospital nurse, near Grandfather Mountain in Linville, North Carolina, in September 2017.

According to People, Dugal wore a Morilee gown for the occasion and joined her husband for their first dance to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love." After the wedding, a Cajun feast was served, which included steak and pasta. For dessert, wedding cake and a variety of pies were on the menu.

“I went with greenery and white flowers, some lanterns and candle votives [for a] rustic feel," Dugal said of the pastoral wedding theme. "We fell in love with the mountains during the summertime [when Scotty proposed], and our [venue] is like a little castle in the woods.”

McCreery and Dugal will enjoy a romantic honeymoon in Tahiti this week and are making plans to move in together upon their return.
