Monsta X Deliver a Show Stopping Performance Without Kihyun on the Teen Choice Awards
Monsta X became the first K-Pop group to perform at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (Aug. 11).
The group performed their hit "Who Do U Love" during the live awards show and Fox telecast. The group performed flawlessly even without Kihyun, who was unable to perform.
Kihyun was sent to the hospital after complaining about chest pains on Friday (Aug. 9). He ended up being diagnosed with a fractured rib. Even against doctor's orders, Kihyun performed the last concert of their world tour just hours after his hospital visit. He performed the Los Angeles concert, while seated in a chair, not missing a beat!
The group seamlessly transitioned their choreography to fit six members instead of seven. The other challenge was the fact that the performance was held outside on the beach, they rose to the occasion and put on a spectacular performance. Monbebes were thrilled to learn that Kihyun was resting his injury. Fans began to wish him well on social media and hope he takes the time he needs to recover.
Fans had a lot of emotions about their performance. See some of the reactions, below!
