We all need love, though it comes in strange ways at times. When an Australian farmer found one of his lambs had been orphaned he wasn’t sure what to do; that’s when his Dalmatian dog stepped up.

Julie and John Bolton found that one of their lambs, which happened to be the result of a cross between one of the white Dorper rams and Van Rooy ewe, ended up black and white spotted. The mother abandoned the little ewe but a new parent quickly. The Bolton’s female Dalmatian took it upon herself to adopt the baby lamb.

The dog has no puppies of her own but felt the need to mother and has taken to licking and cleaning the baby which happens to be beneficial to the lamb. The Bolton’s say they get along great and it warms their hearts to see the special bond.

True love has no boundaries!
