Watch as I Remove Staples From the Head of the Boss Lady

Over the holidays, our Market President, Staci Blubaugh had a scary accident in her home which required four staples on the top of her head. Well, after 10 days went by, we decided to remove the staples here at the radio station, which can be seen in the video above.

The problem was that we didn't have one of those fancy surgical staple removers, so Rudy went to the West Texas Veterinary Supply and as luck would have it, they had exactly what we needed.

Now, I'm not saying Staci should have been taken to a vet, instead of a hospital, I'm just saying they have those fancy staple removers there.

Even though we weren't in the operating room, I still took all the necessary precautions by donning gloves and a mask. I even used rubbing alcohol to clean the wound. Granted, toilet paper probably isn't the best thing to use to clean the wound, but I figured that was better than the scented Kleenex we use here in the building.

The process was fairly easy, actually, as it was basically like pulling staples out of a stack of papers. I will tell you, though, that you must use the recommended surgical staple removers as to avoid any damage to the wound.

Staci was a great sport about it, especially considering I have tremors (shaky hands) that prevent me from holding my hands steady.

To be quite honest, this was easy and a lot of fun. So, if you have someone with staples that need to be removed, just call on your local miracle worker and I'll be happy to oblige. Unlike Staci, it'll cost you a 6-pack of Bud Light for services rendered.
