'Rooster Eggs' is something that was passed down from my grandmother. Growing up I thought this was the best thing ever. I realize now she was making something really simple and we kids loved it especially when she would let us help. Ingredients:

  • 1 can biscuits
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2-3 Tlbs. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Cut biscuits into quarters.

In a small sauce pan on medium to medium low heat your oil. Add in a few quartered biscuit pieces and fry until golden brown. Don't cook too fast or they will be raw in the middle.

Let cool (or not) and eat.

If you are thinking to yourself 'these are just donut holes' you are right but when you are a kid and grandma tells you they are 'Rooster Eggs' then they are rooster eggs!! Kids big and little will love these...I still do.
