Abraham Quintanilla, the 53-year-old brother of the late singer Selena, has been added to the Top 10 Most Wanted list in Corpus Christi, TX.

Quintanilla made it to the city's Top 10 Most Wanted list for contempt of court and nonpayment of Child Support, and is listed as a felony offender. People Magazine reports that the Texas Attorney General’s Office is listing Quintanilla as owing $87,000 in unpaid child support.

Some have questioned Quinanilla's placement on the Most Wanted list with offenders accused of assault, aggravated assault, indecency with a minor, and sexual assault of a minor. According to the director of communications at the Office of the Attorney General,

A judge may sentence a nonpaying parent to jail and enter a judgment for past due child support.

Quintanilla, a father of seven, hasn't turned himself in, telling Spanish-language magazine TVyNovelas that the whole situation is unfair and a big misunderstanding,

I am the victim of a misunderstanding. Placing me among the top ten is totally unfair.

Why is it that only one [woman] is doing this to me? I can’t say much now because I have to save it for my court date… I don’t deserve anything that is happening to me.

Quintanilla currently lives in Miami and has said that he will willingly return to Texas, knowing he will be arrested, as long as the judge allows him a chance in court to explain his side of the situation.
