Carrie Underwood was asked to perform on the Academy of Country Music's "All-Star Salute To The Troops" show. In turn, Underwood was so excited to do something to honor our troops that she wrote a song specifically for the show. Carrie sang the song "Keep Us Safe" and then made it available for download with all the proceeds benefiting the ACM's "Lifting Lives" charit

Earlier this week, the Pentagon declared the end of the Iraq War, an almost nine-year conflict which claimed 4,487 American lives and removed Saddam Hussein from power. Now, Americans are are conflicted over whether the entire endeavor was worth it.
