The Abilene Grunts Association and Texas Veterans Chapter One are hosting the 35th Annual 'Tet Reunion' at the Taylor County Expo Center in the Display Building at 1700 Texas Highway 36 Abilene. The reunion is where Veterans and their families gather to share old memories, food, and stories of their years in the military.

The Tet Reunion Is Open To All Military Regardless Of Branch Or Conflict

Anyone who attends is encouraged to bring photos and memorabilia, no matter the era, service branch, or conflict. The 35th Annual Tet Reunion' will be serving food, drinks, and desserts, plus displays, memorabilia, and a 'USO' style show that will have you laughing and singing along.

Here's the history of the Vietnamese Tet Offensive: On January 31, 1968, 70,000 North Vietnamese launched a fierce attack on more than 100 cities and towns in South Vietnam. The Vietcong called it the 'Tet Offensive', naming it after their Vietnamese New Year holiday and beginning of spring which the Vietnamese called "Tet".

However, today the 'Tet Reunion' is no longer just about the Vietnam war, all Veterans from all branches of the military and any conflict are invited (along with their families) to attend and partake of the food, drinks, and celebration and it's all free to them.

The reunion is Saturday, January 29th, 2022 beginning at 12 noon. Doors open at 12 noon. Attendees needing special accommodations can call in advance. Contact David Vargo at 325-690-0750 or Donna Stone at 325-672-4003.

The TET Reunion is funded by donations only and your generous contributions are graciously appreciated.
