The Annual "Winter Lightfest" that benefits the United Way of Abilene, will take place this year at a new location. With so many different businesses and events that are closing down and or adjusting the way they normally do things because of the coronavirus pandemic. The United Way of Abilene is hosting the Winter Lightfest at their new location that United Way staff and volunteers have been working on for the past nine months.

This year you and your family can enjoy the festive holiday lights in an area that has been laid out especially for this years "Winter Lightfest." The new location was designed to keep you and all your loved ones, socially distant and safe.

For the last nine months, new roads were laid out and electrical lines have been run to accommodate all the festive lights and Christmas decorations, all the while, keeping CDC guidelines and everyone's safety in mind. The new location is at 2250 East North 10th Street.

Gates will open on weekends only through December 13th, then beginning on December the 18th every night through the week of Christmas. Tickets, available at the gate are only $10 for adults and $5 for children. Children age 2 and under get in free. The final night for Winter Lightfest will be December 26,2020.

In a year where a majority of nonprofits in the big country have struggled stay open and or offer their services to the public. The United Way of Abilene wanted to make sure that their nonprofits will have the funds to continue serving our community through this years event.
