The Mesquite Heat Fire has ravaged property and homes in its wake, but the personal property isn't all that's lost. Firefighters and first responders, from all over, have ascended to our area to help battle the blaze and many (if not all) will have to replace equipment following this tragedy.

Well, a bunch of the Abilene area food trucks have banded together for a fundraising event for these heroes

Tomorrow, Saturday May 21st, Food Trucks for Firefighters (First Responders) is taking place in the parking lot at Drug Emporium at 2550 Barrow Street from 11 pm until 2 pm.

Proceeds of the event will benefit first responders who have been battling the Mesquite Heat Fire, so please make plans to attend.
